Sonshine Pals

Sonshine Pals is the name of our Senior Adult group. If you are around 55 or more, you are welcome. In fact, anyone who wants to come is welcome!

Join us at our next luncheon!

Sonshine Pal luncheons are at noon on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, now meeting year-'round! Many start coming around 11:30 for some early fellowship or to help setting up in the kitchen. Our lunch usually is pot luck which is always good and includes a speaker or music program. Bring your favorite covered dishes and dessert.

Sonshine Pals Luncheon

As we have done in the past, at the April Sonshine Pals Luncheon meeting, we decided to discontinue Sonshine Luncheon Meetings during the hot summer months. It also is a time when a lot of travel takes place, both with us and our families and friends coming to visit us. Also, we should mention that, during the summer months, our church vehicles get a lot of use and sometimes are not available when we want to use them. And, lastly, many of our Sonshine Pals sign up to help in Vacation Bible School (VBS) June 18-22, serve as counselors at camps, etc. and other youth and children activities for our church. (Just give our church office a call and they’ll sign you up where you want to help!)

Do you have any good ideas for trips and other activities? Also, do you have a Commercial Driver’s License? If you do and are a member of our church and you would be willing to drive our vehicle (s) for such things as kids to camp, Senior Adult (Sonshine Pals) trips, please let the church office know. So, that boils down to we will not have luncheons in the hot summer weather. There will not be a May meeting on the 8^th. Our next Sonshine Pals Luncheon will be the September meeting, on September 11^th with occasional trips mixed in.

Sonshine Pals Trips

Trips are scheduled on various days of the week and will be announced when they are arranged.

Our trips leave from the church east parking lot. Call Bruce Barton (268-0690) or the church office (268-3511) for more details on a specific trip. If you have a trip you’d like to suggest that we take, please contact us.
